Hello to everyone. Today I will share with you an experience that I had a lot of fun with. Let's start!
Our task this time in the educational technology class was to prepare a digital poster. We had two options: preparing a movie poster or designing a magazine cover. In this task, we were not a group this time, so everyone was individual. Actually, I did both, but I finally uploaded the movie poster. Now I will tell you what I did in this process.
We had to choose a book before we started the process because we were going to prepare a poster, thinking that this book was adapted into a movie. I chose The Martian by Andy Weir. Actually, this book already has a movie, but I still wanted to make it. I had watched the movie multiple times before and was blown away. Adapted from the book, the film briefly tells the story of an astronaut who went to Mars, being stranded there and being able to survive.
While making the poster, I used Canva, an application that I have used before and enjoyed using. I found a background photo for the banner. By the way, this photo couldn't be the same as the photo on the book cover. Then I placed the necessary information such as the players and taglines I determined on the poster. As I said, I love Canva because there are so many options that I can easily do anything. Lots of online photos, lots of animations, lots of fonts, whatever you are looking for. Canva is a versatile app and if you haven't used it yet, I think you should definitely give it a try.
I had a lot of fun doing this task because I love to design things digitally. These kinds of things improve my creativity. I will share the poster I made with you by giving a link, but I also want to share my magazine cover because it was also very cute and made me realize that I really want to do something like this.
